This series of small watercolors was done while I was there: Raiatea, Bora Bora, Moorea, which are where the gods & goddesses live. Am planning to produce a series of archival prints of these images, because I cannot bear to part with the originals.

Summer Solstice Painting (chairs/thrones), 12"x12" oil on panel

My favorite black chairs from Spain showed up in this painting. Someone said they look like thrones. So the Queen and now the King imagery manages to come through no matter what.

Isn’t making art amazing?

Even the woods are saturated with light on Summer Solstice.

This is one of a series I did on those great pre-made panels on stretchers. What an excellent invention.

It’s oil paint, and I like to draw with pastel on it, and then carve lines and it all does its thing and is so satisfying.
